Noosa – Qld

We love exploring different areas of Australia and in so doing we tend to make a base camp for a few nights which then gives us the opportunity to appreciate and enjoy the area. While driving up the Sunshine Coast we decided to stop in at Noosa for a few nights.

Ingenia Holidays Big 4 Noosa

Our base camp was at Ingenia Holidays Big4 Noosa which is situated just minutes from the tranquil riverside town of Tewantin and a short drive to the world renowned Hastings Street shopping precinct, Noosa National Park and Noosa Main Beach.

The sites are quite large and the park itself was very clean and tidy including the amenities.

Eumumdi

Eumundi is a charming historical hinterland town approximately 30 minutes west of Noosa. The main street has some amazing heritage-listed fig trees which look brilliant along the wide main street.

The town is spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes and iconic pubs and has a fabulous string of boutiques and art galleries. It’s also world famous for the Eumundi Markets which are open on Saturday from 7 a.m. till around 2 p.m. and on Wednesday morning. Unfortunately the day we visited was not a market day.

Yandina

If you are a ginger lover then The Ginger Factory in Yandina Queensland is a great place to stop. Loads of parking for those travelling with a caravan on the road. Free entry but for a small fee you can take one of the very informative tours and enjoy some tastings while learning more about the fabulous plant and its benefits.

A great large area if you feel like a spot of lunch or coffee and it is impossible to walk through the store without finding something that you feel needs to come home with you (ginger beer, gingerbread man). The gardens are brilliant and the strong aroma of ginger is everywhere. Who knew that there are so many different ginger plants available.

Another great place to visit is Maroochydore.

Well that’s enough for now.
