This town is well worth the 5-minute drive off the Burnett Highway. Here you will find a 3600 mural around the water tank painted by Rain Hart back in 1997, well before Silo Art became a ‘thing’. The mural depicts the meeting of the Boyne, Auburn and Burnett Rivers and lots of native fauna and flora of the area.
Mundubbera region is famous for producing an amazing variety of fruits such as blueberries, pecans, mangoes avocados, lychees, peaches, nectarines and of course citrus.
The streets are wide and it’s easy to drive through with the caravan. We stopped at the park for lunch and the use of the very clean public toilets. If you need a dump point, there is one conveniently located in Bauer St near Archer Park.
The town has all you need if you want to stock up on groceries. There are also a few quaint looking cafes along the main drag and of course a bakery. Some days we just need a great bakery.
If you are thinking of stopping for the night check out the Mundubbera Showgrounds. 📍$16.50 per night power and water 📍Toilets and showers 📍Pet Friendly 📍Telstra and TV reception.
