The township of Mount Larcom is located at the junction of the Bruce Highway and Port Curtis Way approximately 70km south of Rockhampton. The Kui Park is situated on 6.5 acres of lovely garden settings and just off the Bruce Highway.
Kui Parks are owner operated and you can certainly see that Teena and her husband Geoff take pride in their lovely little park. We were greeted with a smile 😊 and after checking in we were guided to our drive thru site. What a lovely touch to see each site had a table and 2 chairs for us weary travellers to sit and relax and enjoy the view.
Our view was over the highway, which by the way sees so many trucks and cars passing by not to mention the many trains that travelled through the bush a little further away. Yes, I suppose you could say it can be noisy, but you know what, it never bothered us at all. In fact, we loved sitting outside in the evening watching the many trucks that seemed to be lit up like Christmas trees 🎄🎄for our December trip.
To the back of the property is a small hill walk which takes you up to an area where you can take a fabulous photo of Mount Larcom silhouetted in a purposely built timber frame to capture those wonderful sunrises. Mmmm missed the sunrise but still got a good photo.
