After we left Calliope we had an overnighter at the Maryborough Showground, before heading onto Brisbane. We called ahead as we had no idea if we needed to book. The council of Maryborough provides a maximum 48 hour stay for a powered site with water at $20 per night.
We paid and booked a site over the phone and were told to drive in and choose a site. What a great place. We followed the signs to the designated camping area and picked a nice level grassed site and set up. All too easy.
• Clean amenities with hot showers
• Dump Point
• Telstra and TV reception
• Pet Friendly
• Level grassed or gravel sites
• Power and water
• $20 per night – but be sure to book and pay either by phoning the council’s customers service office on 1300 794 929 – Monday to Friday or pay online.
Maryborough is a city and has quite a bit of history attached to it. As we needed to be in Brisbane due to other commitments we were unable to enjoy its charm as we would normally. Next time through we will certainly take up on the 48 hour stopover.
Thanks Maryborough Council for such a nice stop.
