This is part of what we love about travelling around Australia. Finding some genuine well priced places to stay. For our second night of our new adventure we stayed at the Gunnedah RV Camping ground (next to the showgrounds).
Again we found this stop on Wikicamps. At $25 a night with power and water we were stoked. This is an awesome area to pull up for the night. Unfortunately we have a destination to reach so cannot stay for more than one night. But if it wasn’t for our prior commitment we wouldn’t hesitate to stay longer and explore the local area.
The grounds are very clean with wonderful green manicured grassed sites. Basically you can pick your spot, once you have booked in with the Caretaker. We told the lovely Barbara that we would really like to stay hooked up and she said “not a problem” and we were able to park alongside the fence.
Such a lovely spot with power and water. Very easy entry and exit, and the site was so “LEVEL” that Graeme didn’t need to fart arse about to get it perfect. Sorry I just had to say it as it is. A huge woohoo hip hip hooray from me – no arguments and I was one very happy camper🙌😂👌🙌 .
The amenities are of an earlier vintage yet very clean and well taken care of. We felt that the caretakers have considerable pride in maintaining this camping area. You will also find a dump point on site.
With the weather being 36++ it was nice to have power and the comfort of our van’s air-conditioner.
Fantastic TV reception and 4G Telstra.
Oh and for those wondering it is pet friendly.
