Goondiwindi is situated on the Queensland/New South Wales border and is at the junction of the Newell, Cunningham, Leichhardt, Barwon, Bruxner and Gore Highways.
Goondiwindi Tourist Park
We stayed in the Goondiwindi Tourist Park for one night on our journey back to Coffs Harbour. One thing we enjoy is not having to unhook when we are just stopping over for the night. The sites cater for large caravans and motor homes, powered or un-powered. A comprehensive range of modern cabins are also available.
This is such a pretty park set on 10 acres of land beside a great billabong where you can hand feed the numerous ducks and watch out for the possums too. The website talks about the friendly staff and very clean amenities and this we found to be very true.
Thank you Lynn for your lovely welcome and the suggestion that we may want to try out the local Chinese food delivery. It was well worth it after a long day on the road.
