DE GREY – WA

De Grey 24 HR free camp is approximately 82 kms out of Port Hedland on the Great Northern Highway heading towards Broome.

We arrived at around 4.30 pm and as we drove in it looked quite busy. Quite a few folks seemed like they were already enjoying ‘Happy Hour’.

What a great place and as you drive in further you will find plenty of room for all sorts of rigs. Once we set up, which is probably the quickest ever, we went for a walk around and counted at least 30 campers. More arrived after sunset.

๐Ÿ‘‰Two toilets but no paper in either.๐Ÿšป๐Ÿšป
๐Ÿ‘‰Two dump points๐Ÿšฝ๐Ÿšฝ
๐Ÿ‘‰Plenty of binsย ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿšฎ
๐Ÿ‘‰Pets to be kept on a leash๐Ÿ•

๐Ÿ‘‰No water๐Ÿšซ
๐Ÿ‘‰No Telstraย ๐Ÿ“ต
๐Ÿ‘‰There was a WiFi hotspot near the toilets, but we have no idea if it works as we parked way backย ๐Ÿ˜Š

There is a river but unfortunately it’s fenced off to try and stop the spread of a weed.

Great stop and thanks Main Roads of Western Australia and Pilbara Shire.
