After 9 days ‘outback’ how happy were we to see a very well known supermarket ‘Woollies’ in Cloncurry. We think we do a pretty good job of stocking up as much as we can before heading off. There are the times, which I am sure many of you have experienced, where you forget to stock up on other less important items. Well ‘less important’ items to other. Anyway we were both so happy to walk around ‘Woollies’ and almost feel at home. It was great to stock up for the next few days of travel.
We spent the night at Cloncurry Discovery Park in a drive through site. Drive-through sites are great if you are just on the move. The site was powered and had water set us back $35. Probably a good idea to book in as you get closer. It’s a busy working caravan park for many mine workers.

The park has an on-site restaurant, toilets, showers and a small swimming pool. This park suited our purpose for this visit.
